Class Schedule

3 YEAR OLD CLASS:

9:30-9:45 Gathering Time (write/draw in journals, look at books)
9:50-10:10 Circle Time (calendar, weather, book, introduce theme, letter of the week, etc.)
10:15-11:05 Center Time (art, sensory table, math/science, listening/writing, block area, dramatic play, blocks, puzzles, etc.)
11:10-11:30 Closing Circle (sing songs, movement activity, book)




4 YEAR OLD CLASS:

1:00-1:15 Gathering Time (write/draw in journals, look at books)
1:20-1:45 Circle Time (calendar, weather, book, introduce theme, letter of the week, etc.)
1:50-2:40 Center Time (art, sensory table, math/science, listening/writing, block area, dramatic play, blocks, puzzles, etc.)
2:45-3:05 Outside Time and Movement (outdoor games and/or movement activity)
3:10-3:30 Closing Circle (sing songs, book, show-and-tell, etc.)

Class Information

Class starts Tuesday, September 6th and ends Thursday, May 17th. We follow the Granite School District calendar for days off.

3 Year Old Class (THIS CLASS IS CURRENTLY FULL)
Tues/Thurs 9:30-11:30
$65/month with a $35 registration fee

4 Year Old Class (I HAVE A FEW SPOTS AVAILABLE, BUT THEY ARE FILLING QUICKLY)
Tues/Thurs 1:00-3:30
$75/month with a $35 registration fee

Classroom Pictures

As stated earlier, we are currently finishing our basement to create the preschool and it should be finished in the next week. Here are a few pictures of my preschool in our old house. The room is divided into different learning areas (art table, sensory table, block area, math/science, listening/writing, circle time area, etc.).

Preschool Blog

This blog is just for those who are interested in having their child in Miss Bonnie's Preschool. I have another blog missbonnniespreschool.wordpress.com where I post pictures and information weekly of what the children are learning and what is going on in our classroom. That blog is protected and only student's parents can access it.

The blog has been a wonderful resource for parents of my previous students. They are able to stay informed and updated since preschoolers aren't always the best at describing what goes on in our daily classroom :)

Welcome

Thanks for making your way to my blog and for your interest in Miss Bonnie's Preschool! My name is Bonnie Flitton and I'm a mom to two busy kiddos. After graduating from SLCC (while working in their preschool and a semester of student teaching) and later from the University of Utah in Human Development and Family Studies I decided to start a preschool in the basement of our home. I taught 3 and 4 year old classes for two years until we moved and loved every minute of it! After building a new home and moving my husband and I decided to start preschool again because I missed it so much. We're currently finishing our basement to make room for the preschool, which should be done in the next week. We're really excited to start this adventure again!
